Mary Mattingly, the founding artist of Waterpod™ Project, was invited to give a lecture on Thursday, August 6th at 2PM as part of Terreform ONE's TerreFarm Summer Lab for students, architects, scientists, artists, and individuals of all backgrounds to explore the larger framework of urban agriculture and its effects on the architecture and urban design of NYC. Terreform 1, 33 Flatbush Avenue, 6th Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11217(at the Nevins St. station for the 2, 3, 4 and 5 subway lines. All lectures will take place in the ground floor gallery).

Terreform ONE [Open Network Ecology] is a non-profit philanthropic design collaborative that integrates ecological principles in the urban realm. The group was formed for the advancement of socio-ecological science and the dissemination of this knowledge through diverse projects. In furtherance of these sustainable intentions, the group has created a unique laboratory for scientists, artists, architects, students, and individuals of all backgrounds to explore the larger framework of green design. They are currently working on innovative processes and appropriate technologies for local sustainability in such matters as energy, transportation, infrastructure, buildings, waste treatment, food, water, and media culture. Their goal is to illuminate the environmental future of New York City and inspire solutions in areas like it around the world.
